So here we are at the end of 2013, with slightly bigger bellies thanks to Christmas, and various pieces of work completed and ready to show off.
As you’re probably well aware, I fulfilled my New Year’s Resolution this year when I sold my illustration work at the Winter Arts Market in December. Although I’m pretty proud of myself for doing it I’m also disappointed with how late in the year I left it. I could’ve done a plethora of craft fairs in the space of 12 months, which I intend to do next year instead.
Next year I want to make sure I try things earlier and get myself organised so that I can make the most of the year and not wish I’d done more when it ends.
My New Year’s Resolution this year is something more techy and I’d like to create something using my Arduino kit that my sister bought me last year. I really love the cool physical pieces that people are integrating with the digital world and really want to get into making these things myself.
I’m also building my online shop at the moment so I’ll be launching that soon too and creating more original work to keep it well stocked.
Something has changed in me this year and I’m now more confident and eager than ever to draw, make and do the things I love. I hope this time next year I’ll be inundated with cool things to look back on.
Here’s to 2014!
