Look at all the things I’ve made!

I never did write that TEDx post, did I? Sorry! Maybe next time.

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (or are a friend on Facebook) you might have seen that I’ve been making loads of stuff lately. Just this bank holiday weekend I spent 15 hours in The Bluecoat covering myself in ink whilst trying to screen print. During this time I’ve learned loads about the process too and certainly made enough mistakes to get better at it.

After all the work I now have a few new prints to sell, which I’m pretty pleased with. They’re all animal based, which wasn’t a planned things but I do love a good animal face.

The Walrus

This one evolved from a doodle in my sketchbook, which I’m happy to say I’m using more and more often these days. I have the opinion that walrus look as though they’re being really flirty most of the time and so find them quite fun to draw. The moustache and glasses were donned when I realised he was squinting a bit, but you’ll be pleased to know he can see much better now.

The Deer

I told myself I wouldn’t do woodland themed illustrations because I see them all the time at every print fair ever. I broke my promise to myself when I had a vision of this design in a half nap and now it’s on tea towels and posters. Oh well.

The Lion

Lion Screen Print by Abigail Sinclair

This is the thing I was doodling when I was getting bored at Designival because I felt like drawing hair. He looks pretty serious, doesn’t he?

The lion is unfinished because I ran out of time after my halftone plan failed. I’ve got loads of orange down and they’re all waiting for the black lines, but I think I’ll have to add some depth and give it some highlights with another layer of colour.

If you like any of these, feel free to leave a comment, tweet @abegale or even pop me an email and if you’re interested we can discuss methods of you getting your hands on one in exchange for some GBP.
