A long overdue update

This have been pretty quiet on my blog lately, but that’s not because I’ve had nothing to write about. If fact I probably have enough to talk about to backdate posts for every other week since September, but I’ve been too carried away with the real world to write anything.

I doubt people come here often enough to notice changes, but I’ve been doing a few tweaks to the layout around here to showcase my work a bit better. I need to take some new photos of my work and show you the new things I’ve been working on, but for now I thought I’d write words instead.

So since September Mark and I have launched our shop thingsbyus.co.uk and also an Etsy shop to catch the international shoppers. We launched as things by us mostly so that we could pitch ourselves to craft fairs as a duo, increasing the chance of getting accepted and halving the cost of the table (which makes it easier when the fair is a flop). There’s potential for collaboration in the future too in terms of prints and products we produce as well. We’ve been at several craft and print fairs in the past 9 months too and we’re on the lookout for more.

Another thing that’s been in the works the past few months is The Print Social which is a semi regular meetup that a few of us, namely Scott Duffey , have been working hard to create. So far we’ve had two meetups and we have a call for submissions on the go for an exhibition we want to create in August. There’s also a website in the works, which I’ve been building recently which we hope to fill with useful print tips.

Mark and I also just got back from OFFF, which was a brilliant 3 days full of inspiration and sunshine. Just what I needed!

In terms of new work, I’ve produced at least 10 new prints since September which you can see at thingsbyus.co.uk.

It’s been a good few months!
