It’s all going surprisingly well, thanks
It’s really satisfying to be able to tell people my freelance life is off to a great start. Not that I’m bragging to them but I’ve always struggled with my confidence when it comes to my skills, so I had my worries when I began working for myself.
My path to the freelance life was a slow, repetitive one, having spent seven years in the same company. I’m following that by spending eight months doing freelance and then six months travelling around the world. I’m just at the end of month two of my freelance, with six more to earn as much as possible for my cushion to land on when I return home next year.
It’s pretty scary thinking about going away for so long, especially knowing how useless Mark and I are at booking things. We’ve got the first 4 nights in India sorted at least so that’s a start!
So for the next six months I’m going to work hard at what I do and hopefully it’ll allow me to come back to some repeat clients when they have new projects in the works. If not, I guess I could always go get another full time job!
